Low Vision Clinic Services

The Low Vision examination provides an eye evaluation and recommendations to help visually impaired adults and seniors maximize the use of their remaining vision. Device recommendations aid in increasing independence in activities of daily living through the use of handheld magnifiers, electronic magnifiers, desktop magnifiers, and several other types of low vision assistive technology.

Independent Living Skills Training

Provides instruction to increase independence in activities of daily living such as household management, personal management, kitchen skills, communication, etc. utilizing adaptive aids and training techniques to help reach specific goals.

Orientation and Mobility (White Cane) Training

Teaches travel skills and techniques to aid in safe and independent travel. A Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist works to provide a tailored and individualized training plan to help meet your travel needs and goals. Orientation & Mobility training also focuses on techniques for fall prevention.

Counseling

Certified counselors help qualifying individuals learn techniques for coping and adjusting to vision loss. These Counselors have extensive and specialized trained in working with individuals living with vision loss.

Technology Evaluation and Training Program

Through our Technology Evaluation and Training Program, people who are vision impaired are trained on the latest technology available, enabling them to participate in academic, employment and independent-living environments.

Vibrant Works Low Vision Store

Visit our Low Vision Store offering a variety of products for people who are blind and vision impaired. Among the low vision aids we offer are talking watches, clocks, calculators, toys and games, and large print items including clocks, telephones, remote controls and much more. We also stock folding canes for the blind, magnifiers, and Braille materials.
